The California Department of Education groups the schools in sets of 100 based on the percent of students who qualify for free and reduced lunch, and also by the highest level of education of our parents. They compare this information with the test scores of each school. Then they give each school a score compared with 100 similar schools. They scores go from 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest. In past years, Dolland has scored a 7, an 8, or a 9. Our school is happy to announce that for the 2008-09 school year, we received a score of 10. We feel this is a compliment to the work of our teachers, our students, and our parents. This high score also is a credit to the programs of our Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District. Parents can keep up the good work by helping your students with homework and with Book It. The little things we do add up to great things!!
