What's New at Dolland in Technology?

All Dolland students have access to use computers in their classrooms in order to allow for a variety of opportunities for children to utilize technology and improve student achievement. Our School Site Council has invested money in different internet programs. Students in grades 2 to 5 all have Study Island passwords and they can access this program from any computer that has internet access. On campus, our students take Reading Counts quizzes on books that they have read. Last month, we paid $8000 so that our students can catch up and/or improve on their reading skills using the Lexia computer program. We've also set aside $3000 to find more programs that focus on the needs of Kindergarten and 1st grade students. At Dolland we want all of our students to be proficient at reading and math and also be able to use computers effectively.
